April 27, 2019… We took part in the first Shore History Fair organized by the Belmar (Beautiful Sea) Historic Society. There were more than ten vibrant groups here of various sizes and budgets, who shared successes and challenges, especially around recruiting active volunteers. We were thrilled to meet Virginia Woolley, who pointed to her father-in-law Alvah, shown in a hand-colored postcard of fishermen whose catch was being pulled out of the surf by horses. Describing his fish market on Newark Avenue, Virginia let slip a few details of her inlaws’ love story. She has promised photos and more details for Bradley Love Stories.
