On a summer day a few years ago, Anthony and several others were in a room next to the bar area of Uva’s Restaurant (which he owns along with his mother) discussing how to better utilize a certain area of the restaurant.
All of a sudden Anthony’s mom walked into the room and, as quietly as an Italian mother could say, she said “Anthony, your wife is here!” Anthony peered through an opening into the bar area and saw a beautiful woman there. He was shocked to think that his mom was right! Anthony smiled and went right over to talk to Vera, who someone had hired to train for a waitress position there!
To this day, Anthony and his mom don’t even know who was responsible for hiring Vera, but the rest is history and now Vera and Anthony are married and have a precious little girl.
